GCU’s Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) is a leadership program that trains GCU Army or Airforce students – also known as cadets – to gain life-long leadership experience that will aid in their current educational careers and with their future careers in the United States Military. The program provides GCU students with the necessary tools to become an Army or Air Force Officer without interfering with their other classes. It also allows cadets to build friendships inside and outside of the program as they participate in various team-building exercises and activities. With over 100 cadets participating in GCU ROTC, we strive to display leadership and esprit de corps (group spirit) throughout our time on campus and with every activity.
With GCU ROTC continuously expanding, all donations will go to the program to allow for scholarships for eligible students, new physical training equipment, updated classroom materials, and other items for cadet use throughout their time in ROTC.
o GCU ROTC focuses on producing exemplary students and eventual U. S. Military officers who uphold the Constitution of the United States and serve as proficient leaders.
o GCU ROTC cadets are found as mentors in miscellaneous areas on campus including color guard, intermural sports, academic clubs, discover tour guides, GCU ARC ambassadors, GCU Honor’s College, GCU volunteers, and other on/off-campus ventures.
o GCU ROTC cadets focus on diversifying the campus through their participation and service to the program as well as through their leadership training.
